Annenberg Pollster Peter Hart noted on C-Span last week that when he sees passion at the polling places it tends to work against the incumbent.
I have never seen an election so filled with voter determination and passion as the one we are witnessing this year in Harris County (Houston) Texas.
Polling spots have lines which ordinarily would have 20 voters or so in early polling, wrapped around the block at polling places. Most locations report lines with a sustained 250 or so voters all day long.
People remain patiently in line, as did I and my wife, for over an hour until we had cast our (secret straight party Dem) ballots.
Passion? If Peter Hart knows his stuff, and I think he is one of the best--even Texas may surprise pundit and pollster alike.
